Professional Background

Gavin Gochnour, CFP® joined the BNA Wealth team in 2024, bringing with him extensive experience in financial planning and investment management. Before joining BNA Wealth, he worked as a Financial Advisor at Vanguard, where he helped clients navigate complex financial decisions and develop long-term investment strategies.

In January 2024, he transitioned to BNA Wealth, where he collaborates with a team of seasoned professionals in a dynamic Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) environment. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2024, a significant milestone that underscores his commitment to providing exceptional fiduciary guidance.

Gavin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a concentration in Financial Planning from Virginia Tech. He is also actively involved in the Charlotte FPA Association and maintains professional credentials, including the SIE, Series 66, and Series 7.

Personal Life

Beyond his professional achievements, Gavin has exciting personal news—he recently got engaged and is looking forward to getting married in July. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his life.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on the golf course, hitting the ski slopes, traveling, and watching his favorite TV shows (with a special nod to The Office). He is also dedicated to giving back to the community and actively volunteers at Mercy Church. One of his favorite aspects of working at BNA Wealth is the stunning river view from the Rock Hill office, which serves as a daily reminder of the importance of balance in both work and life.
